Celebrate National Poetry Month with your local library! We have two poetry readings, lots of poetry books in the Nonfiction 800s, and even more poetry available through our digital services!
Poetry Programs
Please join us for a reading by local authors Lynn Schmeidler (Half-Lives, History of Gone), Ellen Declin (Rita, Heavenly Bodies at the MET), and Jim Zimmerman (Little Miracles, Family Cookout, The Further Adventures of Zen Patriach Dogen). Refreshments will be served. Click here to register.
In her new poetry collection, Wonder Wheel, Harriet Shenkman captures the circular nature of life as she recalls her ancestors, the rearing of her children, and unpredictability. Harriet Shenkman is the current Poet-in-Residence at the JCC of Mid-Westchester. She will be joined by poet Suzanne Cleary. Click here to register.
